AIRLINES: All Nippon Airways (ANA) has lowered its outlook for the year to March 31, 2020, due to weak demand for premium travel and reduced cargo income. CODE-SHARES: India’s Vistara has expanded its code-share partnership with the Singapore Airlines Group to include Australia’s major cities as well as Wellington, New Zealand.
MANUFACTURERS: Bombardier has reached an agreement to sell its aerostructures business, which includes plants in Belfast and Morocco, to Spirit Aerosystems for US$1 billion in cash and debt. The Canadian company is concentrating development on its more profitable rail and business jet divisions.
ROUTES: From next month, Shenzhen Airlines will increase Shenzhen – Osaka Kansai flights to double daily. In the first quarter of next year, Delta Air Lines will fly A330-900neo on three of its seven services a week between Seattle and Beijing. Skymark Airlines will commence daily Tokyo Narita – Saipan flights with 737-800s and will add Tokyo-Nagoya Chubu twice a week from later this month. Air Koryo is expanding Pyongyang – Macau to three times a week based on information listed on Macau International Airport’s website. Chengdu Airlines has commenced services to Vladivostok with China’s ARJ21-700s.
