The Bombardier CSeries jet completed its maiden flight, powered by Pratt &Whitney’s PurePower Engine PW1500G, in Quebec, in Canada, on September 18. Read More »The US$3.4 billion programme to develop a narrowbody had several setbacks and three delays of its first flight. The geared turbofan P&W engine is forecast to deliver significantly reduced emissions and also have lower noise pollution than rival engines. Singapore’s Pratt & Whitney Eagle Services Asia Pte Ltd is the first designated engine centre in the world to service the PW1500G.
