Otto Gergye has succeeded Dasha Kuksenko as vice president and regional general manager, North Asia, travel solutions airline sales. Read More » Gergye, who will be based in Singapore, joins Sabre from Qantas where he was general manager commercial sales performance.

Before Qantas his roles have included executive general manager sales, marketing and distribution at Fiji Airways, senior vice president at Air Berlin, chief commercial officer with Malev Hungarian Airlines and executive positions at British Airways and KLM.


CALC appoints new global risk leader

Hong Kong-based aircraft solutions provider, CALC, is continuing its management expansion with the appointment of Jon Howey as senior vice president global aviation risk management.

Howey has specialised in asset risk debtor management and airline industry analysis at lessors, Aercap and AWAS. At CALC, he will be responsible for risk management controls of new and mid-life assets and developing all risk related policies and standard operating procedures.


IBA has named Ian Beaumont CEO of the aviation consultancy with former chief executive, Phil Seymour, to continue as president and a board director of the firm, with effect on March 11.

Beaumont founded and led Matrix Solutions and has particular expertise in global business intelligence companies.
