In the six months to June 30, the Toulouse-headquartered manufacturer had logged gross orders for 365 aircraft, with net orders after cancellations sitting at 298 aircraft. The figures were above 213 gross orders and 88 net orders in the first half of 2019.

The 2020 order book at June 30 was 344 single aisle aircraft (50 A220 family regional jets and 294 A320 family aircraft) and 21 A350-900s. There have been 67 cancellations.

Airlines accepted 196 Airbus aircraft in the first half of 2020: 11 A220s, 157 A320 family aircraft, five A330s and 23 A350s, down 49.6% from 389 deliveries a year ago.

"The decrease reflects the COVID-19 crisis," Airbus said in a statement.

Asia-Pacific deliveries in June included China Southern Airlines and India’s IndiGo. Both airlines received two A320 family aircraft. Philippines low-cost carrier and the country’s largest airline, Cebu Pacific Air, accepted an A321neo.

Airbus’s website lists orders for 7,584 aircraft at June 30 – 526 A220s, 6,168 A320 family aircraft, 321 A330s, 560 A350 XWBs and nine A380s. Boeing has yet to disclose its June orders and deliveries.
