Boeing adjusts 777-X order book

Boeing said in a recent regulatory filing it had reduced the number of firm orders for the in-development 777-X wide-body by 118 aircraft, leaving the program with 191 firm orders. Read More » The change was made under accounting standards that required regular testing of the order book and imposed additional criteria for recognising the contracted backlog with customers "beyond the existence of a contract to deliver". Major Asia-Pacific customers of the 777-X are All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways and Singapore Airlines. Recently, Boeing announced the 777-X’s entry-into-service had been pushed back to 2023.
