Mitsubishi’s Spacejet program reports reduced losses

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) said yesterday its aircraft, defence and space business unit responsible for the SpaceJet program posted a loss of 77.1 billion yen (US$731 million) for the nine months to December 31, 2020, an improvement from a net loss of 130.2 billion yen for the 2019 year. Read More » Revenue at the business unit increased to 532 billion yen, from 493.1 billion yen previously, MHI said. In other MHI news, the company said Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation (MAC) executive vice president, Takaoki Niwa, would retire from the position on March 31. He will remain president of MAC.
