Japan Airlines trials cotton cloth as fuel feed stock for Haneda-Fukuoka flight

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew a 787-8 from Tokyo Haneda to Fukuoka on February 4 powered with a blend of jet kerosene and sustainable aviation biofuel produced with 250,000 pieces of domestically supplied cotton clothing. Read More » The fuel was produced with technical support from Green Earth Institute Co. Ltd using bioprocess technology developed by the Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE), JAL said in a statement.
