EVA Air passenger numbers fall 97.6% for latest reported month

Taiwan's EVA Air said it carried 28,099 passengers in January 2021, down 97.6% from 1.2 million 12 months earlier and 14% lower than the 32,852 flown in December 2020. Read More » Passenger revenue fell 91.9% year-on-year for the month, to TW$870 million (US$31 million), EVA said in its monthly traffic report. The airline had better news on the cargo front, with January demand, measured by freight tonne kilometres (FTK), up 34% year-on-year and cargo revenue was higher by 150% at TW$1.9 billion.
