Cathay Pacific Group flew less than 1,000 passengers a day in January

Read More » The Hong Kong-headquartered company said the total represented an average of 981 passengers a day, the first time the measure had dipped below 1,000 since June 2020. Passenger load factor in January was a record low of 13.3%. Cathay Pacific Group chief customer and commercial officer, Ronald Lam, said it had been a difficult start to 2021. “Aside from a few pockets of intra-Asia demand, overall demand remained very weak," Lam said. "As long as stringent quarantine measures continue to be in place in Hong Kong and elsewhere, the coming months will be extremely challenging.”
