Media reports Hong Kong and Singapore in discussions to revive delayed air travel bubble

The governments of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Singapore have restarted talks about establishing an air travel bubble (ATB) between the two countries, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) has reported, citing government sources. Read More » The ATB, which would allow quarantine-free travel on the Hong Kong-Singapore route, was suspended days before its planned launch last November and delayed again in December after an increase in COVID-19 cases in Hong Kong. In recent days in Hong Kong, the seven-day moving average of cases with an unknown source had dipped below five, the threshold for the proposed ATB. The newspaper said the two governments also were discussing additional safeguards for the flights but said there was no timeline for the ATB’s relaunch.
