New Zealand to conduct IATA Travel Pass trial on Auckland-Sydney route

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) said today it would conduct a three-week trial of a digital Travel Pass app, developed by the International Air Travel Association (IATA), on the Auckland-Sydney route. It's essentially like having a digital health certificate that can be easily and securely shared with airlines," Air NZ chief digital officer, Jennifer Sepull, said in a statement. "Reassuring customers travel is safe is one of our priorities. By using the app, customers can have confidence everyone onboard meets the same government health requirements they do.” IATA senior vice president for airport, passenger, cargo and security, Nick Careen, said the app had been developed with the highest levels of data privacy and security so passengers remained in control of their COVID-19 health information.
