South Korea adopting more lenient traffic rights policy to counter COVID-19 impact

South Korea's government was considering allowing airlines to keep their existing traffic rights without operating flights on those routes for a longer period, The Korea Herald reported, citing Ministry of Transport sources. Read More » Last year, the government introduced the measure, among others, that allowed airlines to retain traffic rights for 12 months because of pandemic induced flight suspensions. The Korea Herald said an extension was being positively considered, according to a ministry official.
