International Air Transport Association plans digital travel pass launch in March

SIA Group’s Singapore Airlines was among the first airlines in the world to trial the digital travel pass. Other airlines participating in trials have included Copa Airlines, Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways. Air New Zealand said yesterday it would conduct a three-week test of the technology in April. The digital document offers verification and validation of COVID-19 test results and vaccinations. "We have had very good responses from airlines globally," Goel said. "We hope to see a widespread rollout when this product becomes official."
