Asiana Airlines converts more A350-900s to cargo-only flights

Asiana Airlines said yesterday it had converted another two A350-900s for cargo-only operations. Read More » The modifications included removal of all 283 economy class seats and installing 24 cargo pallets on the cabin floor. The changes lifted the cargo carrying capacity of the aircraft by five tonnes, to 23 tonnes, figures from Airbus showed. The Star Alliance member said it was strengthening its global cargo network in Asia, Europe and North America and is focused on gaining market share as part of efforts to survive the pandemic. Asiana, which last week reported cargo sales rose 64%, to 2.1 trillion won, in calendar 2020, now has four A350s flying cargo-only services.
