Japan Airlines reduces annual new trainee hires by 90%

Japan Airlines (JAL) said yesterday it would cut the hiring of new graduates in its fiscal 2022 financial year due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Read More » Local media said JAL planned to hire about 200 graduates in fiscal 2022, compared with more than 2,300 graduates a year earlier. A hiring freeze for cabin crew also is being put in place. JAL said it would continue to hire pilots and people with disabilities.
