Global airline lessor giants planning merger?

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and AerCap Holdings are discussing a potential US$30 billion merger, the Wall Street Journal has reported, citing people familiar with the matter but not authorised to speak on the record. Read More » Both companies have not commented publicly on the reports. GECAS and AerCap are the two largest aircraft leasing companies in the world. Each of them has more than 1,000 aircraft either owned, managed or on order.
