Qantas Group boss predicts up to 50% cuts in air fares post the pandemic

Qantas Group CEO, Alan Joyce, told the BBC, in an interview aired over the weekend, he expected airfares to stay low in the period ahead despite limited capacity. "We are very confident it's not going to be higher airfares." Joyce repeated his belief passengers should be vaccinated for COVID-19 to travel internationally. "We have a duty of care to our passengers and to our crew to say everybody in that aircraft needs to be safe," Joyce said.
