All Nippon Airways responds to pent up appetite for A380 flights to nowhere

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has scheduled six A380 "Flying Honu" sightseeing flights during Japan's traditional Golden Week holiday from April 29 to May 6. Read More » There also will be a seventh flight on May 23 to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the airline's A380 Flying Honu service, ANA said earlier this week. All seven services will depart from Tokyo Narita Airport for the 3.5 hour joy ride. Ticket prices are 34,000 yen (US$313) for an aisle seat in economy, 39,000 yen for an aisle seat in premium economy, 63,000 yen for a window seat in business class and 102,000 yen for a first class ride. The latest flights followed a sale earlier this month of A380 "Flying Honu" sightseeing flights from Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai and Chubu, which are scheduled for April.
