Air New Zealand (Air NZ) said on Friday it had appointed Mat Bolland as the airline's new chief corporate affairs officer. Read More » Bolland will join Air NZ from New Zealand telecommunications company 2degrees, where he was general manager of corporate and regulatory affairs. "By bringing our government relations, regional, cultural and regulatory affairs and communications functions into one team under Mat, the airline will be well placed to strengthen those key stakeholder relationships which have never been more important," Air NZ CEO, Greg Foran, said.

In other news, it was reported last week former Air NZ chief marketing and customer officer, Mike Tod, would join Australia's Commonwealth Bank as its corporate affairs boss next month. Tod left the airline in May 2020 after Foran reduced his executive team from nine to six in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
