Hong Kong-Taipei Taoyuan tops OAG’s Asia-Pacific international city pairs table

Hong Kong-Taipei Taoyuan topped the list of busiest international routes in the Asia-Pacific with 133,502 seats on the city pair, figures from travel data company OAG showed. Read More » In second place was Shanghai Pudong-Taipei (104,354 seats), followed by Bangkok-Hong Kong (101,795 seats). Globally, Hong Kong-Taipei Taoyuan was the fifth busiest international route. In the top 10 table of the world's busiest domestic routes, Jeju-Seoul Gimpo and Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City retained their positions as leader and runner-up with 1.5 million seats and 932,454 seats, respectively. Nine of the world's top 10 busiest domestic routes were in the region. Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah-Riyadh was the only non-Asia-Pacific route, at ninth place (545,628 seats), in the leadership table.
