Garuda Indonesia group propped up by Citilink domestic demand

Garuda Indonesia's monthly traffic report showed the airline flew 243,963 passengers on its domestic network in February, down 75.1% from 980,664 in the corresponding period last year. Read More » The February figure was also 8.3% below January's 266,105 passengers. Passenger load factor in February was 30.7%, compared with 68.9% a year earlier and 27.1% in January. Garuda said its Citilink subsidiary flew 590,445 passengers in February, 2% higher than 578,659 passengers in January and 28.9% below †he 830,793 passengers in February 2020.
In other Garuda news, the airline’s six day online travel fair promotion, which offered travel discounts of up to 85%, recorded sales of 33.17 billion rupiah (US$2.3 million). The result was 30.9% above its sales target.
