China restricts operations of airlines carrying five to nine and above COVID-19 positive passengers

One measure, to be introduced from May 1, will give airlines with five to nine passengers testing COVID-19 positive on a single flight the choice of serving a two-week suspension on the route or operating the service with a passenger load factor of 40% for four weeks. An airline must declare its preference within 24 hours of confirmation that between 5-9 passengers had tested COVID-19 positive, the CAAC said on its website.
