Emirates aiming for 70% capacity by the northern winter season

Emirates Airline chief commercial officer, Adnan Kazim, said yesterday the Dubai-headquartered carrier expected to reach 70% of pre-COVID-19 capacity levels by the 2021 northern winter season, local media reported. Read More » Kazim told reporters at an Arabian Travel Market event in Dubai he was optimistic the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines would support the easing of international travel restrictions imposed by governments around the world. He did not disclose Emirates current operating capacity. The vast majority of Emirates 117 A380s were not flying, Kazim said, but added 40 of the type could return to active service at the airline this year.
