SpiceJet defers selected staff salaries by up to 50%

Local media reported the decision citing a memo sent to staff earlier this month. The delayed salaries are affecting cabin crew, commercial staff, ground staff and pilots. The report said the deferred wages would be repaid in full when conditions improved. Staff on the lowest pay grades were not affected by the decision. SpiceJet chairman and managing director, Ajay Singh, would not take a salary for April, the airline told local media.
