China Airlines faces schedule disruptions from new pilot quarantine rules

China Airlines (CAL) is facing disruptions to its passenger and cargo schedule after the government said yesterday the Taiwanese carrier's pilots would have to undertake 14 days in quarantine to stamp out an outbreak of COVID-19. Read More » CAL said its schedule was being worked through in response to the government's rules but media reports said the airline expected about 10% of cargo flights to be affected. Approximately 35 people diagnosed with COVID-19 have been linked to the outbreak, believed to have been caused by pilots contracting the disease overseas.
