Lion Air Group signs contract extension with global technology provider Sabre Inc.

U.S. headquartered Sabre Inc. has extended its contract with Indonesia's Lion Air Group to include products and services that support increased ancillary revenue capabilities. Read More » Lion Air Group carriers are Indonesia's Batik Air, Lion Air and Wings as well as Malaysia's Malindo Air and Thai Lion. They use the SabreSonic customer sales and service platform and distribute inventory through Sabre’s global distribution system (GDS). Under the new contract, Lion Air Group will utilise Sabre's digital workspace and digital connect products. "The Lion Air Group’s 21-year relationship with Sabre and this renewed agreement with Sabre means we can continue to optimise our day-to-day operations and distribute content globally through Sabre’s GDS, while simultaneously being able to focus on modernising our ancillary revenue capabilities as we look forward to playing a key role in the recovery of travel in our markets,” Lion Air Group strategy director, Chandran Rama Muthy, said.
