SIA Group’s LCC, Scoot, launches A321neo operations

The inaugural flight, A321neo 9V-NCA, flew from Singapore to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport yesterday. The type, configured with 236 seats in a single-class layout, is scheduled to begin flying to Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City, Scoot said. “Scoot’s new A321neo offer additional capacity and range, unlocking new network growth possibilities while enabling us to elevate the passenger experience in a commercially viable manner," Scoot CEO, Campbell Wilson, said. "Investing in new generation aircraft and operating a young, fuel efficient fleet is a cornerstone of Scoot’s strategy to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050." The SIA Group carrier has 49 aircraft: 21 A320ceo, five A320neo, three A321neo, 10 787-8s and 10 787-9s. Outstanding orders are 28 A320neos, 13 A321neos, three 787-8s and four 787-9s.
