India’s Vistara commences nonstop Delhi-Tokyo flights

Read More » The inaugural service, UK83, operated by 787-9 VT-TSD, took off from Delhi a little after 0300 local time yesterday and landed at Tokyo Haneda seven and a half hours later. The reciprocal UK84 service is due to depart Tokyo Haneda this evening. Vistara, a joint venture airline between Singapore Airlines (49%) and India's Tata Group (51%), said the once a week service was operating under an air travel bubble agreed between India and Japan. “We are delighted to take India’s finest airline to Japan and provide an unmatched flying experience to our customers that exemplifies modern Indian hospitality with the highest global standards in safety, hygiene and operations," Vistara CEO, Leslie Thng, said. "We look forward to strengthening our presence on this new route in the coming months."
