Asiana Airlines signs air travel bubble with Northern Mariana Islands

Asiana Airlines is partnering with the government of the Northern Mariana Islands for resumption of air services in the Pacific Ocean region. Read More » The Star Alliance member has scheduled one flight a week between Seoul Incheon and Saipan, from July 24 and operated by an A321 aircraft configured with 174 seats. From August, Asiana intends to up-gauge the route to 180-seat A321neo. The governments of South Korea and the Northern Mariana Islands, a collection of 14 islands in the northwest Pacific Ocean, have established an air travel bubble that offers quarantine free travel to passengers fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Asiana’s managing director, Seon Wan-seong, said the airline was working with travel agents to develop passenger traffic on the route.
