Vietnam Airlines to resume selected international routes: report

Vietnam Airlines plans to reinstate several nonstop international flights across its network later in the month, local media has reported, citing an airline update. Read More » Nonstop flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Sydney and Melbourne and from Hanoi to Tokyo are scheduled to commence this month, with services from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok and Tokyo planned from August. The routes will be flown by A350s and 787s. The SkyTeam alliance member told local media the resumed routes would help passengers needing to travel overseas for business or study as well as foreigners heading to Vietnam for work. The country's international borders have been closed since March 2020. Air passengers given permission to travel to Vietnam must spend 21 days in quarantine on arrival.
