China Airlines records fresh low in passenger numbers for June

China Airlines (CAL) recorded its lowest monthly passenger total since the start of the pandemic last month when the Taiwanese carrier flew 5,183 passengers for the 30 days. Read More » The June figure was down 36.7% from the previous low of 8,183 in May and was CAL's third consecutive monthly decline in passengers carried. CAL's monthly traffic report showed the airline has sharply reduced capacity - Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) - in recent months. The SkyTeam alliance member's ASKs were 20.7% lower in June than in May and 73% below capacity flown in April.
