SIA to reach 33% of pre-COVID-19 capacity this month

Singapore Airlines (SIA) said in its monthly traffic report passenger capacity across the airline group was expected to reach 33% of pre-COVID-19 levels this month, up from 28% in June. Read More » The report showed SIA's operating carriers, Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot, flew 132,600 passengers in June, up 10.9% from 119,600 passengers in May. When compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the June figure was 95.9% below the 3.2 million passengers SIA's carriers flew in June 2019. Comparisons with 2020 traffic figures were not meaningful given international travels was heavily restricted by the pandemic. Passenger load factor for the reported month was 16.1%, compared with 14.3% in May 2021 and 86.2% in June 2019.
