AirAsia's Teleport looking to increase freighter fleet: Group CEO Fernandes

AirAsia Group CEO, Tony Fernandes, revealed earlier this week that the company's logistics arm, Teleport, will add six more narrowbody freighters to its fleet, FlightGlobal has reported, citing comments made in an online briefing with the Foreign Correspondents Association of Singapore. In June, AirAsia announced Teleport would begin cargo operations with a dedicated 737-800F freighter by the third quarter of 2021. It also would convert two AirAsia A320s for cargo operations based out of Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur after the removal of cabin seats from the two aircraft.
