Air New Zealand to add 250,000 domestic seats to network from next month

In a note to travel agents, Air New Zealand (Air NZ) said it planned to add 250,000 domestic seats to its schedules from mid-August to October to support domestic tourism and encourage New Zealanders to travel to the regions. Read More » "While there has been a general increase in capacity across a majority of the domestic network, Queenstown will see an increase of over 45,000 seats, Nelson 16,000 and Napier 17,000," Air NZ said. In addition to the capacity boost, the Star Alliance member has launched a domestic sale offering 300,000 seats at less than NZ$100 (US$69.80) each for travel on the carrier later in the year.
