Japan Airlines cancels 517 more domestic flights

Japan recorded 9,470 new COVID-19 infections yesterday, its highest one day figure of the pandemic, World Health Organisation (WHO) figures show. The oneworld alliance member will increase frequencies on a number of international routes in September and October, including moving Tokyo Narita-Jakarta to eight flights a week from daily to "strengthen connections between Southeast Asia and North America via Narita". Bangkok, Honolulu, San Diego and Sydney also will have frequency boosts. Nonetheless, JAL's international network operation rate is 26% in September and 27% in October.
