Japan Airlines posts third monthly domestic demand decline

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew 820,411 passengers on its domestic network in June, down 2.3% month-on-month from 839,666 passengers in May. The June figure was 71.3% below the 2.9 million intra-country passengers who travelled with JAL in June 2019. The passenger load factor was 37.4% for the month compared with 38.1% in May. The oneworld alliance member's domestic capacity was 47% below pre-COVID-19 levels for the reported 30 days.
