August 10th 2021

Read More » "The board announces that with respect to the dividend due to be payable to the holders of the preference shares on August 12, 2021, it has been resolved to defer the payment of such dividend," the carrier said in a regulatory filing to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. The terms of the preference shares showed dividends that were deferred would accumulate and constitute arrears, the company said. "The terms further provide that for as long as such arrears are outstanding the company shall not distribute any dividend on, nor buy back any of its ordinary shares," the airline said. Dividends on preference shares, which were issued in June 2020 as part of a capital raising, also were deferred in February 2021.
