Regional Express widens forecast full-year loss

Australian airline group, Regional Express (Rex), has downgraded its financial guidance for the second time in two months as stay-at-home orders and domestic travel restrictions significantly impacted its revenue. Read More » The company has forecast a statutory loss of A$18 million (US$13.2 million) for the 12 months to June 30, compared with a June 9 forecast of a A$15 million statutory loss before tax. Rex said some staff would be temporarily stood down after consultation with stakeholders. The company's financial results are due out on August 31. Rex posted a statutory loss after tax of A$19.4 million in fiscal 2019-2020.
