Virgin Australia says invitation-only VIP program to be maintained and re-branded

Virgin Australia (VA) chief commercial officer, Dave Emerson, said the airline would maintain its invitation-only program for high-end and VIP frequent flyers, following a review and consultation with members. Read More » The Club program will be re-branded, with updated loyalty benefits and eligibility criteria to be announced soon. VA will reopen three premium lounges – Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney – by the end of March 2022, a year after they were forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic. The premium lounges in Canberra and Perth will not reopen. "As part of the review, we asked a group of our most frequent flyers what they valued about The Club loyalty program and we’ve been blown away by the passion and enthusiasm they have for the program and our wonderful airline," Emerson said.
