THAI completes reduction in registered capital

Thai Airways International (THAI) has completed a decrease in its registered capital from 26,989,009,500 baht (US$809 million) to 21,827,719,170 baht as required in its business rehabilitation plan. Read More » The company has informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that 516,129,033 unissued and unsold shares had been written off as stipulated in the restructuring. THAI creditors accepted the airline's rehabilitation plan in May and Thailand's Central Bankruptcy Court signed off the arrangements in June. They include refinancing 170 billion baht of debt, cost-cutting and a reduction of the fleet, alongside an injection of fresh capital into the loss-making carrier.
