Changi Airport passenger numbers improve for second straight month

Singapore Changi Airport's monthly traffic figures show it handled 204,000 passengers in July, up 14.6% from 178,000 in June and 19.3% above the 171,000 recorded for May. Read More » However, when compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the July figure was 96.5% below the 5.91 million passengers that passed through Changi's terminals in July 2019. Cargo volume throughput at the airport also increased in July, rising 1.9% to 164 tonnes for the month, from 161 tonnes in June. Cargo transported has expanded month-on-month since May. There were 9,400 aircraft movements through the hub airport in July compared with 5,250 in July 2020 and 32,400 in July 2019.
