Bangkok Airways to restart five domestic routes

Bangkok Airways will resume flying three domestic routes from tomorrow with another two destinations to be returned to the carrier's network later in the month. Read More » From September 1, Bangkok Airways will operate three return flights a day from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Samui, five flights a week to Chiang Mai and five flights a week to Phuket. Four a week flights to Lampang will start on September 9, while three flights a week between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Sukhothai are to begin on September 16. The resumption of these routes followed the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) announcement on the weekend that it was easing restrictions on domestic flights. The CAAT said the domestic network will be able to operate at 75% capacity, with passengers required to show proof of vaccination and COVID-19 testing results to be accepted for boarding. Currently, Bangkok Airways is flying three routes: Bangkok–Samui for transiting international passengers, Samui–Phuket and Samui-Singapore.
