Cathay Pacific CEO praises resilience of airline on 75th birthday

We also have experienced unprecedented challenges such as the global pandemic that we are all still overcoming. What these more than seven decades have shown is we are a resilient brand."
The Hong Kong-based carrier has launched a number of limited edition items to commemorate its sapphire jubilee, including pen and cardholder sets made with aluminium from its final 747-400 passenger aircraft, registration B-HUJ and luggage tags crafted from the fuselage of retired 777-200, registration B-HND. Obsolete crew uniforms have been transformed into bags, patchwork cushion covers, pouches and teddy bears. There also is a box set of seven Cathay aircraft, including the airline’s first Douglas DC-3 aircraft, “Betsy”, and the latest aircraft to join the airline's fleet, the A321neo.
