India's Vistara promotes Vinod Kannan to CEO

Vistara has promoted Vinod Kannan to CEO of the TATA Sons (51%) and Singapore Airlines (49%) carrier. Read More » Kannan will take on the role from January 1 2022, with current CEO, Leslie Thng, returning to Singapore to take up a senior position at the Singapore flag carrier, "Leslie has led the airline through a significant phase, with the start of international operations and the entry into service of various aircraft including the 787-9 Dreamliner," Vistara chairman, Bhaskar Bhat, said. "Vinod will lead Vistara in its next phase of growth, building on the strong foundation laid by Leslie." Kannan joined Vistara in June 2019 as chief strategy officer. As the carrier expanded he was promoted to chief commercial officer. He also has worked for SIA group LCC, Scoot.
