Thai Airways International to sell three more aircraft: report

Thai Airways International (THAI) is putting three more aircraft and a flight simulator up for sale, according to the Bangkok Post. Read More » Quoting a company source, the newspaper said the financially troubled carrier had recently listed three A330-300s for sale and an A330 flight simulator. All three planes are just over 12 years old. This brought the number of aircraft put on the market by the Thai flag carrier to 34, the Post said. These included 10 747-400s, six B777-200s and six B777-300s. THAI filed bankruptcy proceedings in May 2020. In June, the Central Bankruptcy Court approved a business rehabilitation plan that included the restructure of US$12.86 billion in debt. In September 2020, the airline announced the bankruptcy court had granted the company’s reorganisation petition under a group of planners.
