Asian football enhances Panasonic’s inflight sports offering

Football fans will be able to follow their favourite teams at 30,000 feet thanks to a decision by Panasonic Avionics to add the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to its in inflight live television sports offering. Panasonic said the offering will cover all major football championships in the Asia-Pacific including qualifying matches for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. “Football is one of the most popular live sports we offer inflight and we are confident AFC tournaments will prove a hit with passengers from the outset,” said Panasonic digital product management senior director, Dominic Green. Sport 24 broadcasts 24 hours a day throughout the year and each day connects airline passengers to more than 16 hours of premium live content from more than 30 global sports leagues.
