Hong Kong bans Air Canada Vancouver flights for two weeks

Air Canada scrambled to rebook passengers over the weekend after the Hong Kong health authorities banned the airline’s flights from Vancouver until October 29. Read More » A statement issued by the Hong Kong Department of Health said an Air Canada passenger flight from Vancouver on October 13 carried a passenger confirmed by arrival testing to have COVID-19 and one passenger failed to comply with requirements of prevention and control of disease regulations. This resulted in the decision to ban Air Canada from October 16 - October 29. The airline said it had banned flights scheduled for October 16, 23, 26 and 29. "Affected customers from the four flights, some of whom may have connections, are being rebooked and offered travel options," it said. Air Canada’s flights from Toronto were not affected by the suspension.
