Emirates Airline has extended a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maldives Ministry of Tourism reaffirming the airline’s commitment to the island nation and outlining key initiatives to support its tourism recovery. Read More » Emirates operates the highest number of passenger flights to the Maldives, connecting 170,000 passengers to the country from more than 100 destinations. These include major markets such as the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Germany, the U.S. and the Czech Republic. Emirates senior vice president commercial West Asia and Indian Ocean, Ahmed Khoory, described the Maldives as integral to the airline’s network “Emirates has proudly served the country for more than 34 years. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our long standing partnership and boosting the country’s trade and tourism industry,” Khoory said.
