Australia’s Regional Express rolls out Wi-Fi on its 737s

Read More » The system has been installed on the 737s and will be free to all passengers until November 30. From December, economy passengers will pay a small fee, but the service will remain complimentary for business class passengers. Passengers will also have access to a new inflight entertainment portal featuring flight information, weather and a variety of free TV shows and movies. The airline relaunches flights from Melbourne to Sydney and Canberra next week and Melbourne-Gold Coast and Melbourne-Sydney from December 17. “In this day and age business and leisure travellers want to remain connected whether they are on the ground or in the air,” said Rex general manager information, technology and communications, Mayooran Thanabalasingam. “As our passengers return to the skies from Monday and we restart our domestic network after the lockdowns we expect their need for connectivity will be greater than ever.”
