AirAsia Philippines has resumed intra-Asia flights after a two-year break with an inaugural service from Manila to Singapore on Saturday and a return to Hong Kong skies on Sunday. Read More » The airline is operating the bi-weekly Manila-Hong Kong route despite the emergence of the new omicron coronavirus variant. It said has the highest safety standards in place and is strictly observing established health protocols. “Almost two years into the pandemic, AirAsia believes our guests have developed the culture of readiness and safety that is strictly observed across all touch points of the customer journey,’’ AirAsia Philippines spokesperson, Steve Dailisan, said. “We will closely monitor the situation and continue to abide by the guidelines set by the government.” Both routes are aimed at business travellers and overseas Filipino workers wanting to come home for the holiday season. The airline gave away 100 free tickets to Filipinos working overseas on its inaugural Singapore flight.
